What’s our go-to, easy dinner idea when I only have 10 minutes to prepare dinner? Sheet Pan Sausage and Veggies!

HOW TO MAKE SHEET PAN SAUSAGE AND VEGGIES
This might be the nerdiest way anyone has ever described a recipe, but sheet pan sausage and veggies is what I call a Template Dinner!

What’s a Template Dinner you ask?! It means there is no one right way to make this dinner. You need some kind of sausage, some kind of veggies and some kind of seasoning. Template Dinners are the best money saving recipes because you can use whatever you have on hand for a quick and easy dinner!
Step 1: Slice sausage into rounds. I prefer to cut the sausage lengthwise first, and then slice into rounds so I end up with half-moons. I find this stretches the meat further, saving me money, but it’s also easier for the kids to eat.
Step 2: Add veggies. You can dump in frozen veggies or slice ANY vegetables you have on hand. I’ve done potatoes, sweet potatoes, frozen broccoli, onions, bell peppers, zucchini, green beans, brussel sprouts…literally anything! This will allow you to buy what’s on sale or just use up what you have on hand that’s about to go bad!
Step 3: Toss veggies and sausage in about 2 tbsp olive oil and seasoning! I usually keep it simple with a little pepper and garlic salt, but you can add Italian seasoning, ranch seasoning…whatever you’re craving at the time!
Step 4: Bake in a pre-heated oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 25-30 minutes, or until everything is cooked thoroughly. Cook times will vary by the type of vegetables you’re using.
